7 quick ways to feel good about yourself

Don’t let life get you down. Whether you are having a good day, or a bad day, these tips can help make things even better.

You will be more satisfied with yourself, and I’d be willing to bet more good things will start happening for you! So let’s get started with the seven quick ways to feel good about yourself.

1. Smile. For no real reason, just smile and let it make you feel happy. Better yet, make someone else smile.

2. Do something nice for someone. Hold the door open for somebody at the grocery store. Help somebody pick up something they dropped. If you see a car broken down, see if they need to use a cell phone. Buy a sandwich for a homeless person.

3. Eat a healthy breakfast. If you are stuck in a rut of eating unhealthy food, go to the store in the evening and pick up some fresh fruit and yogurt for breakfast tomorrow. You will feel good that you are doing something for your health.

4. Exercise for 5 minutes. Take the stairs when you get to work, or park at the back of the lot. Just find little ways to add some exercise in to your day.

5. Save money. Open a savings account at a bank different from the bank you normally use. Every time you get paid, put some money in that account, even if it’s only $10. You will feel good knowing you are saving for your future.

6. Talk to yourself. This might sound a little crazy to some people, but tell yourself out loud it is going to be a good day. Tell yourself you will have a good attitude today. You might want to do this while you are alone in your car, it might be awkward if you wait until you get to work!

7. Sign up to get emailed when my blog gets updated. OK, that one doesn’t really count, but won’t you go ahead and sign up? Just put your email in the box on the right hand side near the top.

8. Start a small project. Maybe it’s time to repaint the living room, or hang up some new pictures in the bedroom. This is very rewarding work that you will appreciate long after the project is complete.
